no point. you’re being paranoid.

I find a render that stops at around ground level looks very ugly and shabby. My preference is for a few courses of engineering bricks, but this is seldom seen.

If the main house is very old but the kitchen extension is quite modern what to people think to brick slips after removing render? The bricks under render look cheap so would a rustic brick slip be an option? So something like this:

Blue engineering slips would look well with the modern extension, but if you wanted them to blend in with the existing walls, the brick you picked would look fine, but shop around as they seem expensive.
