In a mixed society...

What would that prove? A pig breeds piglets no matter where it gives birth.
Does that apply to nationality?

Take a woman of German descent, married to a Greek immigrant but living in England. Would you expect her and her family to have celebrated the jubilee?

but they did

although the hubby went to hospital with a bladder infection. No doubt at the British taxpayer's expense, one way or another.

I know they did - and that highlights the situation of why we should get rid of them. They are nothing but super-benefit scroungers.

I do have sympathy with him though, waiting 4 hours in A&E and being treated by a junior doctor that spoke nothing but Greek and then spending all night on a trolley in the corridor. It's tough that is.

Does that include the children of Service personel who have been born overseas?...

i was born in a military hospital in Paderborn W.Germany and i can assure you im 100% British, i was issued with a certficate of Britishness, to allow my father to register me as British and get a Britsh passport when it was time for us to return to Scotland, the military base is similar to an embassy in that it is under the home country jurisdiction

Indeed... Of your Britishness I have no doubt but if your mother had for some reason given birth to you off the base and in a German hospital, then I'm afraid that you fail the "Joe" test and must therefore be German....I'm not at all sure what Joe was trying to say when he referred to Piglets though

A child takes the nationality of it's parents - not where it happens to be born. Pigs breed piglets and Krauts breed Krauts.

Three generations of African Elephants born to London Zoo, Will NOT make those Elephants British Elephants. They will always be African Elephants.
Nothing wrong with that. Never be British though.

Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon was the youngest daughter and the ninth of ten children of Claude Bowes-Lyon, Lord Glamis, (later the 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne in the Peerage of Scotland), and his wife, Cecilia Cavendish-Bentinck. Her mother was descended from British Prime Minister William Cavendish-Bentinck, 3rd Duke of Portland, and Governor-General of India Richard Wellesley, 1st Marquess Wellesley, who was the elder brother of another Prime Minister, Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington.

As the Queen Mum was British doesn't it mean the the Queen is at least half British?

so no American president has ever been an American

Was Elizabeth the first, English?

That's odd. Seems the Registry office have made a mistake with the wife's nationality.
Birth certificate and passport both say British, but according to you, she's Polish.
How does that work then?

Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon was probably of Norman descent, so hmq not at all English by Joe's rules.

I don't suppose Joe is either.

Excellent... Then you are saying that there are no British since the Original British legged it off to Wales, Scotland and Cornwall when the Romans invaded and I'll wager that even they have mixed with non British blood by now..

Joe, first you said that you can only be British if you are born in Britain, now you say that you can only be British if both your folks are British... Make your mind up lad. Since we can establish that by your definition the British cannot exist, I'll ask the question, what nationality are you Joe? I'll wager there is more than a smattering of Swede in you......

The rest is turnip and carrot... ;)

Ancient history matters not - or we are all African.
