Incorrect Planning Drawings

Is the council going to be bothered about a 200mm difference? On the back of the property?
And surely the planning officer dealing with it would have done the customary site visit and seen the adjacent extension?
I can't see on what grounds the LPA would take enforcement action on this; simply saying the work isn't in strict accordance with the drawings showing next door's isn't reasonable.
Would you stake your PI on that advice to a client?

Don't all pro drawings have a not to scale warning on them? - no, drawings are drawn to scale, 1 to 100,1 to 50 or whatever as indicated on the drawing. Doesn't it work the other way round- the dimensions are correct, the rest is 'pictorial'?
-no, scale drawings are not just 'pictorial', and CAD automatically dimensions the length of line as drawn so there is no discrepancy between the figured dimension and the line as drawn. However, there may be a note on the drawing saying 'do not scale off this drawing'.
In this case the client should ask the architect to discuss the situation with the Planners to see if they require revised drawings showing the correct adjoining extension, otherwise what might happen in the future :?::!:
