Innoculations

Thanks for all the info, the malaria tablets sound a bit troublesome.

I travelled all over a few years ago and stopped in Africa for a bit. All the jabs are necessary and I recall having one of them in my backside? Anyway, you have to take malaria tablets cos theres millions of mozzies and you have to take them before, during and after you get back.

They didnt agree with me either but its a big risk if you dont take them and come back with malaria.

When I was there, I saw a woman with elephantitis. It was awful.

Update in case anyone was interested.

Yellow fever single jab.

Following week (at one sitting!) polio, tetanus, diptheria - single jab; hepatitis A - jab in same arm: typhoid - jab in other arm.

Prescription for 28 malaria tablets each.

All fairly painless in except in wallet department, £40 each for yellow fever and £16 each for malaria.

About 4 hours after the second lot of jabs we were both quite ill with flu-like symptoms which lasted the rest of the day.

At least most of them last 10 years.
