Installing an electric shower

Morning all,

Im currently fitting an electric shower and was wondering if i could tee into the cold tap on the bath supply for the supply to the shower or will i need to come from the main house supply in the loft.

As long as its mains powered it can be connected anywhere!

I do hope you are going to have it correctly connected to the electricity!

Im having an electrician to replace my consumer unit and instill and test cable within the house and new shower. Im thinking i could save a little of a tight budget by putting the new pipes to the shower. So your saying that i could tee off the bath tap, run along the floor then go up into the back of the new shower. Only thing i had in mind was the shower wouldn't have a head of water directly above it kinda thing. Thanks

I said ONLY if the supply is from the mains and NOT from any loft tank!

Im certain its from the mains as it has a very good pressure. Defo not gravity fed from a tank.

Turn the main stop cock off at the incoming mains and see if you still get water out of the bath tap if you do then its off storage and you cant use it, if you dont then its off mains and will be OK
