Installing gas hob and gas oven?

We don't make the gas regs and laws, that's left to other *unts, in suits and ties, but we have to abide by the laws they come out with, DIY gas work isn't legal and thats that, get over it.

So as mentioned previously why can people comment on electrical advice when you have to be part p to carry the work out, part p, gas safe are surely both legal requirements to carry out either task?

You can't smell electricity - but Part P advice is freely given. Why is that?

I have an electric oven and an electric hob but only one bit of wire. How to I make them both work???

If people, as you say, give advice to questions like that in the electrics forum then more fool them.

Lol, seriously? A competent electrics / electronics engineer will have forgotten more than you will ever know, and if you do both, you should be intelligent enough to know better.

The decent people in the world like to help others learn / succeed, the people left behind to try and bring others down to make themselves look intelligent.

Which one do you think you are :?:

No, you wrote it so can you explain where it fits into anything previously posted. Especially the bit about electronics engineers fogetting more than I'll ever know - Where the **** have I put down anything about being an electrician?

Show me otherwise but where does it also state that you cant carry out work on your own pipe work, i did say i wasnt connecting to the main gas so any work upto that point is legal.

I wrote it for you to read. If you need me to draw you pictures for you can understand, well, sorry, but I don't have time for that.

So get on and do it. Do you need someone to hold your hand?

He will when he's sure he's following the gas regs.

I believe the law does not state it as a matter of fact. It is down to interpretation of facts, similar to PAT testing, you have to be competent.

You can do limited work involving electricity without part P, if it's outside the scope (eg replacing a boiler fan etc). You can't do any gas work without being an RGI. There is a difference.

Exactly. Some people are so far up their rear's. Tell him to leave it well alone, then tell him to just get on with it without sharing their profound knowledge. Make your minds up.

He's doing pipe work - only air inside it.

Then if you can't write anything with any relevance maybe you should give up posting. You've only just ******* joined and you're pontificating already.
