Insulated lining paper mold.

How much is it reading?

Rubbish.
It's not rubbish. The outside humidity has a huge effect on the inside of the house. My meters always run high inside when humid high outdoors.

That aside, the humidity reads around 70-80% in the room on average without the dehumidifier. When on it gets it to the mid 50s-lower 60s. Of course this wouldn't be sustainable running constantly although you can set the humidity threshold. This wasn't a problem last winter with mould so why now ? It seems to be growing quite fast creeping towards the ceiling. As well as behind the books etc on the shelf. I also have a Levoit air purifier running all night so plenty of airflow.

I do have some Lidl mold blocker spray I could try.

I get the same problem & lodgers that doesn't help drying clothes in there rooms. I am trying some paint that has a 5 year guarantee against mould, "we will see" It been on the wall for 18 month & no sign as yet. think it was called zinser permawhite & about £25 per 5lt.
I have looked at that but it's only suitable for wet rooms like Kitchens and bathrooms.
