The attached pdf's contain the name of all investors in the two companies. The OP's father's name should be listed there if he purchased shares in the company.

The auditors report on Anglo makes grim reading for example:

Also both companies have been threatened with striking off by the Registrar of Companies, but have managed to wriggle out of it.

I have to say, as forums go, this is a good place to ask questions and get quality answers - not that it helps. If his name is listed the OP might want to contact the others to see if anyone has attempted some sort of class/collective action. If his name is not listed then it might be good news given that he can bring a claim directly against the recipient for his payments.
