Is the search function not working properly??

I type in what I want, but it just spits out random posts...

Yes, it does it to me as well, it seems fine if you search for just one word, but otherwise as you say, it seems to search for what it feels like.

And even when it works, have you noticed that when you go past the first page of results it starts highlighting the word "a", not your search term?

It works fine for me:

..although the description of how it works is utterly wrong.

The multiple-page-topic-highlighting works impeccably for me.
