Is this a reasonable price?

Lol, no doubt. London prices are always extortionate. Regarding the silicone, what they're going to do is finish tiling the walls, the tiles go over that silicone, then they're putting another lot of silicone on between tiles and bath. What you see in the photo is the hardiebacker board.

Got the spout back, cut. Looks good. :) Chrome screw covers still to go back over the bath filler plate.

Off topic slightly, lot more work to be done in the bathroom still, wash basin/black cabinet unit, bristan thermostatic shower unit, fixed hinge shower screen, and LED mirror to be installed, all waiting here still boxed up, shaver socket, more grouting, bath sealant, window ledge, boxing in of pipes, and then big clean up of the new bath and polished porcelain floor tiles. Should be finished in a couple of days or so. Shame my bathroom is so small (5.5' by 5' approx) I'd love to have had a big washbasin but there's only space for a cloakroom sized.

That doesn't look like a "worked on/customised" piece. Merely a 4" off- the -shelf spout/filler. Maybe i'm wrong.
Is the threaded tail a nipple or is it part of a one-piece?

The screws to the cover plate should be chromed.

Does the aerator have a screen?

Yes, you're wrong. :)

I've no idea.

They are, they haven't been put back on yet. This is what they look like

Looking at the end of it, there's a round white piece of plastic that looks like a multi spoked wheel.
