I went to London yesterday, and there were only a couple of Community Support Officers at Kings Cross and Farringdon, and both pairs were just chatting - not really watching people. I was expecting more to be honest.
It wouldn't happen in the US, but this is what you get from Tony Bliar and his cronies. It comes down to cost, which shows you how much value this government places on the lives of its' citizens.

Some difference this morning! - several police spotted in stations on the way to London, and at least 3 armed police in KX itself.
I walked instead of the tube today - I think the police are expecting something.
