Glad its sorted. 
For future reference you have an 'S' plan system, 2x 2 port valves, one for CH one for HW. (A 'Y' plan has one valve, in a 'T' shape with 3 ports. Supply from boiler, then one port to HW and the other to CH.)

lol, before replacing check you have 230/240 v ac on the brown and grey wires
