Got this stuff on my hand from the cut off stump. Is it just sap/resin or is it that trunk poison stuff (forget name you put on to kill it quicker)? Like glue hard to wash off. The bloke put weed and feed on the grass two weeks before, will cutting it be bad for my lungs?

IME resin is usually yellow and very sticky. Difficult to clean off. Weedkillers are usually water-soluble.

In your picture I can't see the stuff you mean.

What sort of tree is is? Leylandii make a lot of resin.

In softwood it will often boil out of pockets if you use a blowlamp or hot air gun (I sometimes do that before painting or staining) and it sets very hard when it cools, like a varnish.

If you can wash it off with white spirit, I would guess that it is resin/sap.

Resin has a distinctive and not unpleasant smell - and sticks like hell too!
Any clues there?
John :)
Sticks like hell but didn’t notice if smells. Soon as I scraped surface it came out. Its stump from a bush not leylandi Difficult to get off with water. Heard that stump killer chemical stuff is very toxic.

Do you have any gloves? If so, use them when handling the tree stump.

Cutting grass which has had weed and feed applied to it won't do you any harm. You should wait until it has rained on the weed and feed before cutting the grass or you will just suck the weed and feed up with the grass cuttings. If it was going to do you any harm then they wouldn't be able to sell it to the public.

Well that is certainly a conifer root, so will have lots of resin coming out for quite a while. the weed and feed would be washed away by the rain too.
