Is this suitable for drilling a hole for a tumbledryer pipe?

Silverline tools are like disposable cutlery, use them once for a job then throw them away.

My wife and I have been doing a total renovation on an old house for two years now. We have always weighed up the costs of buying a new machine with hiring one. Number one lesson : Don't buy cheap tools, they are dangerous. I have found that hire shops are good at showing customers how to use machines safely. Probably so they don't trash them. My advice is unless you don't want to part with money for good quality tools it is better to hire them. It's safer...
Hope this helps ....Kev...

So basically, what you're trying to say is - their products are guaranteed forever, so long as you don't take them out of the packaging and actually use them!! Great!!!! To be honest i've never looked into it - just noticed it said it on the packaging!

I think the old addage 'you get what you pay for' is pretty true - if it's half the price of a simlar product then it'll probably last half as long!

Reminds me of the 'everlsating pen' on the Fast Show 'That's Amazing' sketch. Had the pen for 15years and it still hasn't run out! So, how often do you use it?? Oh, i don't use it!!! I've hardly ever used it....but it hasn't run out of ink in over 15years!!!!
