Sorry dude, I guess from your flag you're Jewish.
I have no qualms as Judaism as a religion. I just dont buy all the 'chosen people' stuff - that's just biblical clap trap and quite frankly racist
You're very perceptive, I'm actually an Irish Catholic, my parents and forbears were 'rebels' from the South, Eire. I have direct ancestry to the people who came back from the pub on a Sunday afternoon and forgot where they planted the potatoes. I'm a Mick, or half Mick, I was born in London.
I lived in Israel for a year almost 50 years ago, I like to think I gained some understanding of both the Israelis and the Arabs,
I felt honoured to be in Israel at the time they flew a squadron of commandoes 2500 miles to Entebbe in 4 Hercules aircraft to rescue 103 Jewish hostages from certain death at the hand of Idi Amin.
3 hostages and 1 commando (Netayahu's brother) died as a result, it's probably the only military hostage situation that outshone the London Iranian Embassy siege.
I also admired Mossad for taking out, one by one, the entire team of dirty cowardly Arab terrorists that massacred the entire Israeli Olympic team in Munich 1972. A few were killed immediately, the rest executed as a result of the incompetence of the German Police, no matter, Israel made sure they paid with their lives, and quite rightly so.
In 1976/77 I was fortunate enough not to be in a war there, I saw a couple of rockets come over, and there were a few isolated terror activities in Tel Aviv but it was low key.
But I got to know a lot of people both local and otherwise who had lived there during the Six Day War, The War of Attrition, The Yom Kippur War and the Palestinian insurgency in South Lebanon. I met a girl whose father rode horseback on the Golan Heights armed only with an M1 Carbine at night to defend the kibbutz. I met people who having served their two years in the military were obliged to serve several weeks per year for a large chunk of their life and were permanently on reserve to their country. I met a lot of people who were afraid, but nonetheless intent on defending their country, defending it against the Arabs sworn to push it into the sea. I was proud to meet a people who would send commandos 2500 miles to save 103 Jewish hostages, I was proud to meet a country that made a vow and stuck to it of avenging the murder if their entire Olympic team. I was proud to meet the people and live in a country so utterly focussed on defending itself, on defending it's citizens and defending it's right to exist.
So, no, I'm not Jewish, I just changed my avatar to an Israeli flag to reflect my feelings.
Your turn now. What makes you proud about supporting Hamas.
Is it the fact that they hate jews and are sworn to drive them into the sea, is it that they enjoy machine gunning pensioners and women or is it the burning and decapitating of babies that turns you on.
What's the attraction?
