It's a complete and utter sh1t show and little wonder residents local to this get angry.

"In the past 48 hours, around 7,000 people have arrived in Lampedusa, which has always welcomed them with open arms," mayor Filippo Mannino told Italy's RTL 102.5 radio.

"However, we have now reached a point of no return and the island is in crisis," he said.

"Europe and the Italian state must step in immediately with a rapid support operation and swift transfer of people."

The island normally has a population of just over 6,000.

Makes you wonder why there and why so many now.

I think that all them immigrants & the pressures they put on the locals, should force all them locals off the island so the 'elites' can come in & swoop up all that really cheap real estate & build some mega mansions on the beach front property that will be under water inside the life span of your average brand new diesel automobile.

On the one hand, Germany are calling for illegal immigration to be reduced, on the other hand, Germany are funding the charities who operate the rescue ferries in the Med.

In other news, the Texan city Eagle Pass has declared a state of emergency after being flooded with 8000 illegals in a week.

America has 96 people per sq mile

UK has 725 people per square mile

If anywhere can take a few more people it’s America

mind you Scotland has just 168 people per square, so they can take a few more as well

…and economic migrants.
Whatever your thoughts on these people, just put yourself in their position and ask yourself what would you do?

Ignoring the problem, avoiding the problem, or simply blaming somebody or somewhere else will do nothing to help.

Just be grateful you were born where you were.

And no, I don't want limitless numbers moving here.

You'll be going to Scotland as well then.
