We had this novel read to us at Primary school.
Never really grasped the underlying message.
But felt sorry for the loyal cart horse that got sent to the knackers yard.
Maybe it was metaphor for the NHS or something.
Apart from that its a great story for kids.

If you take somone else's words and present them as your own, it's plagiarising. It's like cheating at exams by copying others' answers.
It's like committing fraud in the academic world. It might even be real fraud if you benefit from those words that you stole.
