It's not often one can agree with Michael O'Leary, but...

People with skills, expertise, and money to invest can apply and get visas without a problem. The same applies to UK citizens wishing to work in the EU.
They tend to be not the type attracted to the lower end paying jobs, where there still seems to be a struggle to find employees

Unsurprisingly coinciding with a massive (record breaking numbers) uptick in rubber boat people coming ashore to the UK.

Brexit - utter pile of shít.
Nothing to do with Brexit mate.
The EUs abolition of internal borders has allowed millions of dispossessed foriegners free access to Europe.
Foreign policy can have domestic consequences.
Any complaints refer them to Tony Blair and associates, he probably won't reply because he has tax payer paid 24 hr security and as such doesn't give a toss about those at the bottom of the polical food chain.

I work in several EU countries in my career meeting with country officials. The EU causes most countries dissatisfaction with one Belmont or another. Even Norway which is outside of the EU but is affiliated with the EU and has to abide with many of their rules and people movement policies - Many if not most Norwegians looked on the UK's position with envy, we had a good deal, had influence, had our own currency. They thought we were b****y stupid to want to leave.

I do think we will be applying to return to the EU but the terms will be much, much worse, No refunds, have to join the Euro currency, and less ability to have a veto.

One of the best things about the EU was the Ireland situation and keeping the peace.

With labour shortages in some of our industries, it's possible that now the flow of cheap, willing EE workers is turned off, the government may view that allowing increased immigration from brown nations will fill the gap.
Very good point.
Britain like other countries is having a demographic problem.
Too many old folk and not enough young folk to pay N.I. and taxes to support those who have paid into the system.
The short term solution is to import foreigners to fill the gap, for awhile it works but at some point there comes a reckoning.
That day of reckoning has arrived.

Could you explain how the dismantling of INTERNAL borders allows access for outsiders?

Suppose the UK once had internal borders between Britain, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
When it became the UK, and there was no longer any internal borders, the common borders between the previously separate countries would no longer require policing.
One would expect that the combined resources of the four countries could now be allocated to the most permeable part of the whole external border.
So how could that faciitate foreigners coming into the UK?

If my logic is faulty, please explain how your logic is better.
If you have only one border at the far side of Europe, then, once you cross that border, then there ids nothing to stop you from heading to the next obstacle at the English channel.
This shouldn't be a criticism of migrants, illegal, or legal.
I applaud them for their energy and determination.

The day of reckoning?
Is that when the young folk don't want to come to UK because the culture is too hostile to foreigners?
Or when the government makes too onerous a process and required qualifications/salary to exclude the required workers for the vacant jobs?
I have more respect for foriegners, illegal or legal because they are fighters.
Indigenous Brits, have been so brainwashed to feel guilty about crimes that they have no responsibility for.

Have you been watching the Grand National; the next obstacle! What about traversing the 1,500 miles?

So the sensible thing to do is to redirect the no-longer needed internal border controls to the point of the permeable external border, don't you think?
Do you know how many horses died during the Grand National.?
Disgusting swine.

Loony lefties argue that immigrants do the menial jobs others won’t do. It’s often presented as though this was always the case. But native workers did these jobs routinely until big employers found a useful source of cheap labour: foreign labour.

Any complaints refer them to Tony Blair and associates

Exactly. He has destroyed younger generations of Britons by sending them to university and demonising "menial" jobs.

Among the many evils he is responsible for.

Are we correct in assuming then that you are including the offspring of Caribbean/Asian/African immigrants as 'native workers'?

And funnily enough there weren't many complaints here about brits going abroad to work when the UK was suffering enormously under thatcher and tens of thousands went to mainland Europe just to keep a bit of money coming in to send back to their families!

"The reason why so many Brits were hired was because they were willing to work for much less money than the local German workers. The cost of employing a skilled German bricklayer comes to DM85 an hour, including the steep national insurance contributions mandatory under German law. The cheaper solution is to sub-contract the work, for between DM35 and DM45 and hour. A British worker will get between DM20 and DM25 of that, with the remainder staying in the contractor’s pocket.”

Double standards from brexiteers!

Posting on your night shift break at the care home Lal?

From the same 2019 article:

"The man, who invented many Euromyths while working in the 1990’s as a Brussels correspondent, has now been confirmed as the next British Prime Minister. His stories were influential in poisoning the minds of the British populace against the EU, paving the way for the likes of Nigel Farage."

So not biased in any way……. :ROFLMAO:
