For me I am glad its over. Why?

Well the noise, mess, extra work, predictable TV, crap presents etc have taken their toll on my good nature.

Lets see if the poll agrees with me.

I don't mind xmas, but when you've got four days in a row of family and friends coming round on four hours of sleep, it gets tiring. Thank god it's over for this year.

Far too commercialised. People get sucked in with all the hype. Supermarkets are full of people stocking up as though they were never going to open again, yet they only close for Christmas Day then re-open on Boxing Day. WTF,,,,
No wonder the population are getting fat. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

I am surprised the muslims have not put a stop to it.
nobody knows when or if he was born
just a good time for shopkeepers

[WTF's that got to do with it.

It's been nothing but a materialistic orgy of spending manipulated by clever ad men for years. it's crap.
Started by that ad man Prince Albert

its about time we had an Atheist day. shopkeepers your missing out here.

My Christmas has been a little poor so far.
The missus has been poorly and that ruined both Christmas Day and Boxing Day, as we usually go out and have a good old celebration, but alas not to be.
It also ruined today as she was back at work and I am still on holiday. It started off good, because she went in, ;) then unfortunately she was sent home ill.
But the days between Boxing Day and today have been relatively peaceful as SHMBO as been in laid in bed poorly and I have been left to bum around the house, watching sport and man shyte on the TV.

Yup, am so glad its over. And will be glad when today and tomorrow are over too. Then we've got another bank holiday to put up with on Monday...

I hate being lazy and I hate it when places are shut and you can't do anything or get anything done cos said places are shut.

My xmas starts when I get to go to a local church for the 6o'clock family Carol Service, (I'm not a big church goer..), having decided that if we ain't got it (whatever 'it' is) we can surely manage without until the shops reopen with proper hours and service levels.

Gotta say, that by Boxing day, I'm ready to get back to the grind. Maybe its 'cos I'm self-employed and regrettably only see the monies going in one direction.

So, perhaps I am indeed the Grinch, but sadly I see only the commercial side until I force myself to see a better one, if only for 36hours.

Yup, its was different when the little'uns were indeed little. (I'm just glad I was NEVER that age  )

DH

Tonite, I am covering emergency plumbing calls for the pal who covers my xmas break, so just in case, I am off the sauce.

me, bah humbug.!

glad its nearly all over, pain in the rear customers who think that the call out fee is to high, for our engineers to go out.
then they call again and agree, we go to the site, fix it, and then they start to argue about the price.

they called us, not the other way round!!!
so yep, i personally hate the silly season, to many idiots, shops to busy, people spending hundreds of pounds on one days food!!!

time off? not a chance.!

but i am looking forward to going back into work for a rest!!!!
