ITV1 is making a programme about the falling levels of people who are doing their own home improvements. .

One of the reasons for this is you need a certificate from ODPM to scratch yer arse.

Only the rip off merchants charge too much.You don't see many rich, honest, hardworking tradesmen

Exactly my point, seems there are far few honest tradesmen around and the majority charge way over the top, also the workmanship is bad compared to the work i've seen done by eastern europeans, perhaps the british worker needs to pull his finger out and start charging properley aswell as producing quality before they lose out completely to the foreign influx.
