Ive cut mh BNC cable .

Does the 32 copper wire need too be wound the white
In theory yes they should be as they screen the signal ( white wire ) from interference,

That said in reality a short length ( an inch or two ) of unscreened signal wire will ( normally ) have very little adverse effect on picture quality

Thank you.

This is how I've done it. The screen cable is behind the black tape. That's the best I can do as the strands keep falling off.

Have I messed the cable up?
Yes, Probably.

Does the BNC plug have 2 pins or is it polarised? - can only be inserted into the socket oneway. One of the systems I worked on used to use Polarised BNC plugs (1 pin, 1 socket inside the Plug and polarised with the socket inside a step in the plug's insulation.
The info from Amazon indicates the cable carries both power and signal. Get them reversed and you are likely to damage that part of the system.
Any tips?
Replace the cable. Polarised BNC plugs difficult to find.

I second Harry's recommendation to solder and heat shrink

There's a bit of a technique to soldering; if you're going to go for it let us know and someone will write something up
