Thus the decline in influence (along with economic performance) is inevitable, and will simply spiral until eventually the UK will lose it's seat on the Security Council.

Rather than a Brexit situation, this probably has more to do with a weak, corrupt and woke socialist pm - desperate to look good in Islington or wherever champagne socialists frequent these days. As well as being keen to be seen to be down with the natives.

Really - the complaints about us owning it have been around for a long time. It influences our legal status in respect to the general un assembly. Pass on what the security councils view would be but the US gets to keep the base. Camaron ditched the negotiations. Clever did a bit and it seems this was useful. It seem Starmer has just said sort it out. Ideal time as the new owners will be having elections soon so can make use of the deal. The displaced Islanders are complaining as they have not been involved however carrots for them have been included.
More related to the fact that the general un council can cause UN court actions - as you may have noticed concerning Israel. Eeeek - they could also decide the deal isn't fair so hope it's all over.
