But, but, but I thought nobody likes the Tories? If you believe what’s being said on here, all the wrinklies are dying off so those votes are lost, the young bloods who hate them are coming up in the ranks and ready to vote, the nurses hate them, the train drivers hate them, the teachers hate them, the remainers hate them, half of those that voted Brexit hate them etc etc. Surely if that’s all true, it’ll be a forgone conclusion, yes?
Funnily enough I read the following about a town within an hours train ride of me.
(well in normal times before the tory attempt to wreck yet more unions made regular public transport far more difficult)

"The first Labour Councillor in 41 years was elected in Worthing in 2017, and in the proceeding 5 years has seen an unprecedented increase in seats, culminating in this year’s incredible gain of six new Councillors. Worthing Borough Council is now composed of 23 Labour Councillors, 12 Conservative Councillors, 1 Liberal Democrat and a single independent Councillor."

Worthing apparently once vied for the title of 'god's waiting room' with Eastbourne and Bournemouth...

But the overspill from Brighton and other far too expensive areas has changed things somewhat...

Thus not only are the blue rinse brigade/ wrinklies dying off, but the political demographic can change rapidly anywhere...

They'll be another EU referendum before the end of the decade (y)

Question is, will you still be around for it?

Not by me (the saying, that is).

Give or take, half of the electorate will vote for a turd, as long as it has the right colour rosette on it.
And the tories and Labour know it.

Which makes many votes utterly worthless.

A week is a long time in politics. Obviously Bozzas populist Brexit at any cost approach was just a ruse to get the liar into the top seat. Even a super-duper Tory majority was not enough to save him from his blatant dishonesty. And then Liz morphed into Maggie T just to appease the Tory old guard - which worked until she tried to fry the countries economy.

The truth is, regardless of political background, the country is sick of populism and sick of (olympic standard) liars. If Rishi makes a good fist of it. you never know. The wounds may heal. I'm not sure the charisma vacuum Sir Kier has the pulling power, but the Tories may just implode again with their, chums-get-rich-quick antics and píss the country off even more.

So no, the Tories wont be in power hopefully, because they offer nothing but misery.

Good summary.
I think it is just as likely that the tories, rather than **** the country off enough to flunk it, will do a "we've sorted the economy; here's a big fat tax giveaway bonanza!" which, backed by the right-wing MSN, will make it a close contest.

Sadly those who vote for a turd of whatever colour can't/wouldn't ever realise that, hence why any party that gets into power wouldn't ever countenance a serious vote on true PR!

I truly think our political system (short term; oppositional) is about the worst of all worlds.

Regarding chances of change though, the turkeys won't vote for Christmas.

About a third of them liked him
