Key Spins in Mortice Lock on One Side

Hi,

We've had some new keys cut and have found that one of them just spins when you try and lock the door. This only happens from the outside and only on trying to lock it - can lock/unlock from inside and unlock from outside.

Any ideas? Is this a poorly cut key or a dodgy lock?

Apologies I think its actually a double cylinder lock!

If your original keys work the lock from the outside but that one new key doesn't then id say its a bad copy, if the locks broke then surely it would be the same with every key, yes no

Poor key duplication. Take it back and complain. Possibly new key cut on the wrong blank. The non working key is not long enough to engage the central cam and turn it. My experience is that at least 25% of duplicated keys never work.
