That's good to hear, his parents must be relieved to say the least.

Nice to hear that he's safe, but,,,,,, How did his parent's manage to get permission for him to be away from school in the first place??

glad he is safe and sound, but my gut feeling is theres something very strange about all of this?????????

when i saw this on the news when it broke the first two words i thought of were "shannon mathews" hope i'm wrong

I am also in the 'theres more to this than meets the eye' camp. The father flying home when asked explicitly not to by the Indian Police force was the first alarm bell.

I might be seen as being a bit cynical here but I'm sure I read the father was unemployed, and the mother worked in a local supermarket.
So how did he and his son afford to fly to Pakistan for a holiday?
Why did he desert his son in Pakistan and fly home?
What day does he sign on?

if you leave the country, they stop paying your jobseekers as you're not actively seeking work.. :)

Reading the replies on here i'm wondering if a few of you are truly happy or just pretending you scinical barstards

just seen on the news they have captured the people responsible in spain, apparently the father flew to paris with £100k randsom, but the police say the money is linked to a debt!!!!!!! seems dodgy to say the least

I think your right Newgas,, we are a bunch of cynical barstewards. :)

They must have been a right bunch of plonkers. Did they really expect the father to be able to go through airport after airport without opening his case of £110K? It should have been obvious to the idiots that he was 'allowed' through by the authorities for some reason - such as a sting.
