Hi, we had a leak and replaced our laminate floor with LVT (a lot thinner), now I get draughts from under the kitchen units, no visible gap from standing height but there is a lot of gap there. I am going to use expanding foam to seal between the wall and floor behind the units but should there be a gap? Would sealing the plinths better cause issues behind the kitchen units? I need a middle ground and less draughts please. Is there some product about 18mm wide that fits on the bottom or top of the plinths to create a better seal whilst still allowing airflow and removal if needed?

Or do I have to replace the kick boards?

Thanks.

I would replace but you could see If the clips on the back of the sill will slide down the legs, pull the sills down onto the floor and see how noticeable the gap at the top is .
Depending in the sill colour you may get away with glueing a uPVC strip over it.....

Plinth boards even with a tight fit don’t stop draughts . Need to check rear of units for holes to exterior .
