kneel chairs

78.3% of late stage pregancies saying it is their only way to sit comfortably
that sounds something like a marketing team would make up.
How could you research this without making pregnant women sit in these chairs for hours at a time ....

I've been a motorcyclist all of my adult life & often experience pregnant women saying that the only time they can sit comfortably is when on a bike. Sitting on these kneel chairs is very similar to sitting on a bike. Sitting on a motorcycle is not for everyone, but when the female of the species is moaning & whingeing about not being able to get comfortable when heavily pregnant then I tells them that these kneel chairs are just like sitting on a bike which lots of biker chicks say is the only time they can sit comfortable when heavily pregnant.

Oh BTW, the ones who it works for also spread the word.

Does anyone use a kneel chair for working at a desk?

I have a herniated L5 which is getting progressively worse due to sitting at my home desk. I am building a new office and will be installing a stand up desk, but wondered if anyone had any success with those chairs you kneel on?

Have you had someone assess your desk and posture at home?

Get a height adjustable desk from Costco. I assume you work off a laptop with external monitor?

You will be suprised to find out how just raising the height of the desk solves many problems.

When last in Ikea, I noticed that they do height-adjustable desks too.
I've got one, set to max as I'm 6'1". It's not far off kitchen worktop height. There's no way I'd go back to a standard one, most are way too low for anyone above average height.

For those with a standard desk, try some wooden blocks or bricks.

I also have a height adjustable monitor stand, again set to max. Your pupils should be in the middle of the screen. Don't even think about using a laptop sitting on the desk, get an external monitor and/or a stand.

With my old desk I had to have my chair too low just to fit under, my legs weren't touching the chair so my weight was on my bum and feet only.

Yes, but I've known a fair few pregnant women, and none have used this in the office.

Wom advertising is great, but you can't build stats on that.

I've been using the chair for about a week now and have definitely seen improvement. I find myself moving around on it more and my posture is better too. I've also been increasing the stretching classes as I'm not disciplined enough to do this on my own. Bodybalance seems to be as good as ibuprofen.

Result, & a lot cheaper than the quack approach.

Can you bend down & touch your toes from a standing position? This is considered one of the benchmarks of health & fitness. Another one is being able to tie a shoelace whilst standing.

Keep on keeping on. Try Tai Chi, there is a lot more benefit from it than most westerners could comprehend.

Test if you have tight hip flexors, sitting at a desk all day shortens your hip flexors so you try to over compensate by stretching your back, you then continue this cycle of tightening your hip flexors and stretching your back to the point you are in constant pain.

Its a simple test to hang your legs off the side of a table or bed.

Yes. Too much endurance cycling in my younger years. But I have a specific injury now and these other issues are probably referral.

I think I will get another MRI done if this doesn’t go away soon.
