big-all,
i understand that its a kick space, and what i propose is what i've done many times cutting out chip board underlayment in the kick space at unit plinths.
Before cordless we, typically, used the big beast 15A corded Milwaukee and could manage to bend the blade in just fine simply by angling the tool. Sometimes the fine toothed metal cutting blade is preferable to the roughing in blades.
