Am I being a div? Planning to install laminate on the landing and carpet on the stairs. I having real trouble finding a simple solution to join the two.
I currently have a standard softwood bullnose. The plan is to cut this straight but all the laminate stair nosing’s seems to be weird and won’t connect or cover to where the carpet joins. I can’t be the only one wanting to do this? I sorta need something like the red section. The laminate is 11mm, underlay 10mm ish and I assume the floor is 18mm, so need something at least 40mm. Preferably that matches the laminate.

Cheers

Good quality Laminate manufacturers will have a specific stair nosing for their laminate product, alternatively Stairrods UK have a selection or options in their Premier nosing ranges.

Carpet needs to go up to the landing and join the laminate there with a threshold.

It does exist! But unfortunately online only so hoefully the match isn't to far off as I already have the laminate.
