The "Dos" window should be called command line interface (CLI) and is often called "Command Prompt" sometimes one can use the "Run" on start.
Under Start, Settings, then Network Connections, you may find "Local Area Connection" this on my PC has two tabs and with "Support" tab you see:-
IP address
Subnet Mask
Default Gateway and this will show the IP address of your router 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1 are common some also use 10.0.0.1 I hope that helps you find the address.
There seems to be a 101 ways to get same info so I am sure you will find it.
