Laptop Keyboard Gone Beserk!

My babies got to my laptop! Not sure if damaged it or if they have somehow changed settings. Try to type something and instead of the letter or number you type coming up, something completely different appears. Sometimes another letter or a symbol. After a few presses cursor goes back to the beginning. Hope that makes sense. Somebody please help!

lol, most likely the Fn key has been pressed and its chosen either NumLk or even a different language.
I get users always saying that their password is not working, when in fact NumLk is on and they need to take it off again.

Does any of this ring true with your problem?

Could it also be liquid related? If so, you might be lucky and it'll dry out in a few days. Depends what the liquid was. If you suspect this, remove the battery and leave it somewhere warm.

What can i say. Thankyou igorian and kjacko. Yes it was also water related! Yes the FN key had been pushed and yes the NumLK key had also been pushed. I took battery out and left laptop near next to my woodburner last night and hey presto, its working again.I firmly believe everyone should have DIYNOT.COM in there favorites. I have learnt so mush on many different subjects and people like you are so helpful.
