Hi there, DIYer always have issues with emulsion being patchy/flashing and have just completed 2 X coats of crown extra Matt emulsion on a large ceiling. Felt like the roller I was using was hard work, constantly having to re load, felt like it wasn't going far on the ceiling.I try to lay off in the same direction etc, just feels like its hard work keeping the edge wet. Roller is just a pinnacle medium pile from Toolstation, I'm looking to try a premium sleeve as I feel like the paint is not bad quality? Would a Purdy collosus 1" nap hold more paint and make it easier to achieve a flat finish? If not any other go to sleeves for this job?
It's doing my head in trying to achieve a nice finish.
Thanks in advance

I'm painting over white emulsion in a 5 yr old house. Just filled a few cracks and nail pops so needed repainted. The flashing is mainly on previously emulsioned surfaces though

Hard to tell what your issue is. Medium pile roller would be fine. Hopefully you sanded and cleaned the whole ceiling before repainting? 1 roller load should do just under 1 SQM of ceiling and you should overlap each one. With 2 coats that have fully dried you shouldn't have marks
