Yes there is a bit of movement.
I was trawling the intenet and came across Elastilon adhesive underlay (basic 3mm thick, I'm using 7" wide boards so do not need stronger variant) and ordered some. £4.70/m sq. from flooringco in Rusden. So its going to be a floated floor with the Elastilon as the underlay. About £50 more expensive in materials than hiring the nailer and the cost of the nails and the cost of the std underlay, but a lot quicker and no issue with the chipboard and nailing. www.elastilon.com.
