Thanks for your post alittlerepect and you are right a warm roof was not possible due to restricted head height in the loft room which is why the celotex is going between the joists of the roof and not sandwiched ontop of the joists. A vapour barrier however I have only just heard of in your post so please advise me on how if atall possible I can fit one now. I am starting to think that it is actually condensation because since I have taken down the celotex (1 week ago) I have had no water leaking through the roof and it has rained for the last 36 hours where i live. I am now totally confused cos i was convinced the roof was leaking but think alittlerespect could be onto something!
