LED aluminium defusers

Hi

I am looking to use LED lighting within the floor tiling or wall tiling in a bathroom setting. Some tile show rooms have this and I can see the LED dots through the defuser compared with some other show rooms which shows just a nice level light from the LED.

Can someone in the know please advise whether to get this effect, it is related to the LED or the quality of the defuser? If the latter, what do they recommend for a flat profile? Any links or pics would be helpful.

You need to use tape with closely spaced LEDs (120 or even more per metre), and a suitably deep extrusion with a good quality diffuser.

Yes
They are 6-9 mm thick and some come with a metal frame that you screw to the ceiling, then slide the panel in. Others are designed to fit suspended ceilings
