Hi all. I've purchased a recessed shower head with integrated LED lights (below) and I'm fine with the plumbing aspect of installing it, but the instructions make no reference at all on the electrical requirements for the lights.

There is a transformer on the shower unit for me to attach the electrical feed to, but my question is - is it usually the case with these units that you have a switch so that the supply can be isolated when the unit isn't in use, or can a live supply be fed to them constantly? (The unit comes with a remote control which has an on/off button on there so can be turned on and off via remote). But I'm thinking it should also be run through a normal light switch on the wall to isolate it?

regards,
Lee

Up to you really.

A double pole switch to isolate (not a normal light switch) near the transformer would likely be useful.

I can't help thinking that this is something for which a remote control is rather pointless and just a gimmick whereas a normal light switch (as well as the isolator) would probably be more practical.
