Hi can anyone come up with some.good ideas. I'm wanting to run a Led light up the stair riser that will be motion sensored. I've chiseled out 10mm of plaster about the riser but an struggling to find anything thar could accommodate the Led cobb. The riser isn't straight and has a curve this is the problem. I'm thinking aluminium channel won't bend to follow the curve and can't really find a suitable alternative....any ideas please fire them at me...this is turning out to be a big heachace that the wife's asked for lol.
Thanks

A copper channel can be annealed with a blow lamp allowing it to be formed to a shape before it eventually work hardens.

Could we please have one or more pictures.

It is not easy to see what you mean from your description - so far.
( I can't envisage a Curved Riser.)

I am not sure why you want to incise the plaster to attach a length of COB LED strip.
Surely these Strips, cut to length, and attach to the surface of just about anything.

The main problem would be hiding the connections at one end - if that is necessary.

However, if you wish the light to shine DOWN (From the Wall - at the SIDE)
but
not to be seen to shine OUT
you would need to (somehow) install a bendable U Shaped channel
ON the wall
with the COB LED Strip on the underside of the U Shaped channel.

Various such channels are available.

How you would affix such a CHANNEL to the wall would be Interesting.

Others do it this way,
under the NOSING

However, you have carpet, which covers the underside of the NOSING.

These may be a compromise solution

Thanks for your reply. I plan on bedding the channel into the wall with either plasterboard adhesive or adhesive expanding foam either way will work. Thanks
