Left or right?

If you're a male and only going to have one ear pierced,does it really matter which one? I seem to remember years ago, blokes of a certain persuasion got one side done and real men got the other side done. In these more liberal times and what with multiple piercings does it really matter anymore?

no idea, used to be left ear for "men" and right or both for "other", I sem to recall both rather than right meant even more the other way. Its probably all changed now, may be if your male you have 2 in the left nostril, one in the left nipple and 3 in each ear, but if your the other way inclined its some other combination

Best to look at the mirror, if your head tilted slightly to the left then put the ear ring on your right ear and vica-vera, a bit like wheel balancing.
