You shouldn't need a product key to recover a Win10 machine unless you replace the HDD.

Apparently if the LT came we it’s Win10 installed, you don’t need a PK, and you don’t have to Activate it. (Can’t recall if I did or not). The recovery USB will pick it up somehow.
The £14.99 recovery USB arrived today, and after 10 minutes of messing about, it all worked. it only took about 10/15 minutes, once I got it going, I assumed it would be ages.
