A couple of things:
1. the ground is sloping down from right to left of the elevation in the pic.
2. there is a sand and cement plinth that could be conducting moisture into the property thro the solid wall - moisture that might rot the ends of the joists. The plinth is in ground contact.
3. The plinth is also bridging any DPC that might have been installed.
4. Its not clear from the pic but you seem to have a row of blue engineering bricks above the plinth - perhaps the base of the wall was re-built with engineering bricks.
5. are the air bricks actually bricks or cast iron vents?
