Here he goes, making friends again….
I assumed you would have internet Wi-Fi .So, I need to get a new TV with wifi? Why don't I just get normal TV and plug in the aerial?
The issue here is not an aerial problem. The issue is a break inside the TV between input sockets and the consuming unit for the input. If you supply input via wifi, the break remains.
There is no wifi in any case. Any external wifi unit will have to plug in through one of the normal input sockets.

But TV has no wifi. How would you get wifi onto the TV?I assumed you would have internet Wi-Fi .
So, not sorted then.Sorted, sort off.
I was obviously typing to quickly for you to understand .Will try to type slower .But TV has no wifi. How would you get wifi onto the TV?
No it isn't.Now it's pondering time:
No wifi here. Last year, this year, next year, don't care.its worth pointing out
you wont get a tv now that only works via an aerial they all have the internet connectivity as standard
so iff you want one just for tv then go for last years model and do NOT set up internet functions as these will increase the power consumption in normal use and instead off sub 1w on standby will often go up to say 10w looking for content
this compares the tv normal consumption off around 12w max on aerial use only to over 20w sometimes iff internet set up 'this needs a factory reset to stop it looking for internet content or what ever its doing to use 10w
Good man. It's still over my head how I get wifi on the old TV.I was obviously typing to quickly for you to understand .Will try to type slower .
Weren't you looking for a friend, or something? So, not sorted then.![]()
