Hi
Subject can be better so advice.

I have chandelier which is connected to 4 way remote.
The issue is that everytime i switch off the mains and when turning back on the chandelier stops working. I then have to go through a tedious task of removing it completely from ceiling and changing the control switch.
Is there a better control switch I can buy?
Or can I put a resistor or something so as to not risk blowing the switch when I switch off the mains?

amazon link below for the type of control switch i tend to buy to replace the faulty one.

Please advise.
Thanks :)

That would be good as I connect my remote to alexa anyway.
For 3 way something like this would be good?

The control switch is concealed between ceiling & chandelier so I need something I don't need access to once installed.

I do not really understand why removing power and returning it would cause the relay to fail, mine seems to work OK, touch wood, as to remove this lamp-landing_1.jpgwould not be easy, however in my living room Ceiling light.jpg this simply unplugs, so easy to remove the chandelier. In hindsight, and hindsight is easy, I should have used smart bulbs instead of a relay, the cost of smart bulbs has come down, I sent for one to use in the centre of the landing chandelier colour changing about £12, but when I came to do kitchen lights, GU10 bulbs were just £5 in Poundland, so I have just fitted 4 smart bulbs, wife wanted them, so she can use voice commands to turn kitchen lights on/off, but she keeps forgetting and turns off the switch instead.

The plug in living room chandelier uses a smart light switch, handy when we nod off watching TV, and TV times out leaving us in a dark room, trying to find TV remote or get to light switch.
