My only problem with doing this is risking blowing another . It might be that the original breaker is broken and there is nothing wrong with the circuit, but it could be a fault on the circuit has blown the breaker.
doc if the circuit was fine before you changed the light, and thats all you changed? it must be something you've done check all the cables again and double check your wiring.
