Is it OK to use galvanised steel mesh embedded in lime plaster ?
Or do we *have* to use stainless steel mesh ?
This is for the soffit board, which was sawn lath & lime plaster, but it disintegrated - we reckon due to traffic vibration. Grade II Listed, and they will accept steel mesh & lime plaster, though we doubt the plaster will stay up long enough to get hard enough to stay up - if you get my drift !
