Local elections.

most of them voters were duped into believing in the land of milk and honey, how the channel tunnel would be bricked up and that 350 million a week would make us all millionaires within a few years. Whereas remain voters all knew exactly what they were voting for which ensures their votes are actually far more credible you see.
Correct.

I had high hopes for you Festive but it seems when you can post the following in a single post and keep a straight face then my hopes are dashed.

Yes according to SirG/Poiroit and his Liberal indepth thinking hes managed to deduce using his following advanced logic.

How about an honest government which puts British hard working people first. And doesn't just tax them with the belief they are privileged to have a job and money?

Can you define a bit more clearly what it means to be British? Is that UK citizens only? So how do you define hard work? So is someone who works say 20 hours not a hard worker? Is it the amount of effort?

First in what sense? How would you prioritise?

You seem to have gone back to the RW / Republican play book of taxes and hard work. Unfortunately you need to look at hours worked and wage stagnation to see how that is not a solution.

What about companies? Should we put British Firms first? How British must the firm be? What if it's ownership is foreign but it's workers are British? What if the ownership is British but the workers are foreign?

You didn't think too long did you.

The Tory government set a good example, they would never dream of allowing public utilities become under foreign ownership :ROFLMAO:

the Tories lost 1334 seats.

Nobody can pretend that's not a disaster for them.

It isn't. Under Cameron LA have been stripped of funding and been foisted with being responsible for Adult Social Care - LA are struggling everywhere. In a general election Labour may get a small minoroty Government which shows how poor their time in opposition has been.

Hello G u wanting my attention? You seem to have mistaken me for someone who gives a ff what your hubristic opinion is any day ;)

Anyway i like your little games, lets answer one of them, being British, ok its a bit like being Indian or Japanese or Russian, I tell you what, pop over to them countries, ask them the same..what are their traditional values i think you will find similar answers.. wait for them to tell you, but resist the urge to call them Xenophobic, you can save that for us Brits instead we deserve it of course.
Do i consider myself British? No. What are your values as a Brit? What would you like to preserve if anything in this country?

How would i prioritise?

The aged population people who have served this country all their lives. Care / homing etc. There's a start how am i doing?

What about companies? British owned by a brit and brit employees reinvesting into local british economics? Isn't that obvious the priority here?

Its a good idea.

Sadly the Tories have sold em all off to foreign companies.

Some of our railways are state run though.......shame its the German state though.

And those pesky Conservatives would like to flog off parts of the NHS to American healthcare businesses.

Im no fan of too much state control, but flogging off assets abroad is just utter stupidity.

I suppose this is why you suggested that many saw Blair as a Tory?

Admittedly I don't think it's good for them to continue his legacy of inviting private firms into the NHS.

When it comes to our Railway infra how could we get it so wrong, look at the Swiss for example. On a simplistic level two tier, Halb tax and full price, basically a tax added for tourists and non resident, and a cheaper fair for resident swiss simple and brilliant.

Imagine someone like me campaigning for the UK to start taxing tourists and non residents to use our public infra I would soon become another Tommy ok maybe not as exreme as him..anyway shame on our country and what it has become.

Agree Notch privatising our Rail Networks was possibly the biggest mistake, and what about BT, my most detested company of all time, the biggest bottleneck we face today in an attempt to trade competitively with the rest of the world. Would we be better off today if the railway corps stayed publicly owned?

Having spent alot of time abroad outside of the EU paying compulsory private healthcare i have mixed feelings about the NHS anyway.

So you don't care but you really do. Go one try to redeem yourself.

So you post about putting hard working British people first but then cannot define what you mean. The only games are being played by yourself.

So you want to define Britishness through culture so how does that work in practice putting one culture first?

Playing the victim card already?

you can save that for us Brits instead we deserve it of course.

The clarion call that we are being subjugated and losing our identity.

What would you like to preserve if anything in this country?

So how do we pay for this care / homing? Nice start not continue.

So these British firms owned by Brits and employ Brits can they buy supplies from abroad and spend their money abroad?

The US insurance based model has to be the worst in the world. From memory something like 2.5 x more expensive for worse treatment.

The NHS is pretty cost effective when judged against other health systems. It is though underfunded and is at breaking point. Its finances have been ruined by PFI -a sad example of how short term politics means spending now by borrowing into the future. A bit like student loans.
