Keep telling yourself that losing more than a thousand councillors in one day is not a catastrophe for the Tories

Nobody believes it but perhaps you can keep your spirits up.

-382 and -68

Not much diff to +563 and -1000

And lets keep it in context, before this election Tories had almost 9000 councillors, Labour a paltry 6000 :ROFLMAO:

So despite the Tories losing a few, they are still ahead by a country mile (y)

Your both loosers

Nobody expected the Tories to do well.

John McDonnell thought 400 gains to be a modest assessment. So -70 is an umitigated disaster.

An opposition should streets ahead mid term.

Not Labour.

It just goes to show, the wider public dont want those hard left numpties

Why would anyone want the loser labour party in? Its like their supporters have some fantasy they will change the world for the working class and poor  no that's right they're the best party for the influx of 'economic migrants' and the others displaced from war torn countries like er er.... Iraq? And the chain reaction that triggered....after they obliterated their country, nice one Tony you're grr grr gr great!!!!

And the Tories lost 1334.

A crushing catastrophe for the leading anti-Europe party.

It just goes to show, the wider public dont want those hard right Brextremists.

Each and everyday the mask slips.

Tories are the party that can deliver Brexit but they know it will be a disaster, so have prevaricated over the last few years.

Labour policy of sitting on the fence hasnt helped, the stink from this Tory created mess has clung to them.

The Tories are in a difficult place, live in the past or let it go.

The real crushing catastrophe is Labours total inability to make gains, it shouldve been 1500 up.

Keep telling yourself that Tory losses of 1334 seats are not a catastrophe for them.

Begs the question - what do they want?
I actually think the FPTP tribal politics in this country is broken.

The current situation where both parties have moved further to Right and Left isnt much use to the wider public it isnt what they want.

Surprisingly both May and Corbyn have created an inner circle of advisors and have isolated themselves from their parties.

What the public want is some decent politicians led by a leader that is driven by making the country better not by ideology.

At the moment Labour would be unlikely to win a majority so they wouldnt be able to make any real changes.
