Our house is around 12-13 years old and as far as I can tell was built this way - we have lived there for 11 years.
The meter is in an external box on the garage wall, in this box with the meter is a 2 pole switch (not an MCB). The feed to the CU (three singles) runs through the wall. up to the garage roof trusses, across the garage and down to the CU - around 10 meters.
The post linked above seems to imply that this should be protected by more than the incoming fuse. Is there anything wrong with this installation?
