Hello all, my first post so go easy. :)

I am in the process of redecorating my lounge  and want to replace all the skirting. When I worked at a new build a few years ago, I saw that the skirting they had was plywood, with a nice birch face. The top was not moulded just straight cut so you saw the layers of wood. It was then spayed with polyurethane for a protective finish.
Size wise about 15mm thick, 100-120mm high

I have tried to track down some thing along the same lines but cannot find any at all.

Do any of you fine people know a supplier where I could find this? ;)

heeelllooo dicky and welcome :D :D :D :D

that will be strips cut from a sheet off birch ply then :D :D

I did think that, but the supply they had came pre cut, pre sprayed all ready to go, long with architrave. Didn't really want to mess about getting it cut to size.....Lazy I know.

I can supply you with pre-finished skirting and architrave be it veneered board or real timber. If interested I will PM you my email address.

A nice square cut edge to get knocked, dented, chipped, and a flat edge to act as a dust and dirt trap?

No thanks

I wonder if the skirting still looks nice in those new builds after they have been lived in?

I must be lucky that my wife has mastered the art of hoovering and cleaning, and that my kids don't have Tonka Toys anymore. ;)

Thanks for the offer but I think the cost of delivery will far exceed the cost of the timber.......Thanks anyway. I will try getting the plywood cut down first.
