Did you take a picture of connections before removing the previous light fitting ?
Is the switched live the red wire with a black mark ?
If so ,it appears to come from a grey sheathed cable that has another red coming from it ,is that so ?
Is there a second light fitting that usually comes on/ off with the light fitting you removed ?
Are there any other lights that are not working ,when the wiring is connected as it is in your pic ?

I'm sorted now.. I didn't connect the switch live to the loop.
Was this needed as this is the last light on the loop and can be switched from upstairs and down as the one at the bottom of landing I terminated the loop line and this can only be switched from one place

Thanks terry plumb got there in end
Yeh I marked the switch live myself before disconnecting old fitting and terminated the loop line as you can see and taped up.. But after taking a breather I I connected switch live to loop
Terminated the brown and taped up.. Can't remember what I connected the other red wire too located next to switch on picture
But it's switching on n off from both switches so that'll do me
