Yes, proper screw down valves, not ceramic so that will maximise flow. If one of the existing supplies is 3/4" then a 3/4">22mm solder fitting and a small piece of 22mm pipe to convert to metric, if the other is 1/2" then it's a straight change but use a brass compression then you can use plastic to give some flexibility if wiggle room is needed. Shame he cut out the old stuff, would probably have lined up pretty closely if the bath is in the same place as the old.
Just a quick update.
I ordered some 3/4” taps off amazon.fitted them.and gladley, hot is no longer trickling out ,its at full flow.
Thanks god i dont have to wait a full hour for the bath to fill up.so that mixer tap was crap.
I won,£28 taps.
Hope you don't mind a little observation tho ... hot would usually be to the outside and be careful of the rubber washers under the tap. Try and hold the tap and washer square when tightening down so the washer is compressed evenly, otherwise it can squeeze out to one side (like in your cold tap). It can then leave a gap at the other side that water can get down. More so when there's a shower over the bath as that part of the bath can get pretty wet.
